Did you have any fears or reservations when searching for a designer?
I did have reservations because it would be a long distance transaction and I was unsure if a designer would take my wishes into consideration.
What was your experience regarding creating a cover.
Did you try to make one yourself?
I started out trying to create my own cover but wasn’t happy with the results, so I had one made with a stock photo (see left). A number of fans felt it didn’t reflect the story well, so I started looking for a professional designer.
How did you find Peter?
I found Peter through an internet search. He had a great and personable website.
What attracted you to BespokeBookCovers?
The website first attracted me but that was quickly replaced by the comfort Peter gave me. He responded immediately to my inquiry and in the first e-mail gave me all the information needed and asked my requirements. At first I was concerned because he was so responsive, it was almost hard to believe I was that important to him. I’m sure Peter has many other customers, but he’s treated me like I’m the only one.
What was the process like working with him?
The process was fast and easy. I simply gave Peter an overview of the story and the type of cover I was looking for. He came back quickly with a cover that met all my requirements and exceeded my expectations. A couple more e-mails for tweaking and it was all done.
How did you feel about the result?
I was ecstatic with the result and in fact jumped out of my chair with a large exclamation of excitement when I saw it. I’ve received a great number of compliments on the cover, and it has been highlighted in a number of blogs.
What difference has the new cover design made to your success?
The book cover greatly increased my exposure in the market, with an immediate increase in sales and interest from reviewers and blogs.
